The Portfolio Analyst will join Crescent’s Private Credit team in Los Angeles and will play an integral role in monitoring the firm’s portfolio of private credit investments. This position offers broad exposure to portfolio company performance, fund-level reporting and analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with investment, operations, and investor relations teams. The analyst will be responsible for recurring reporting deliverables, supporting internal review processes, and contributing to strategic projects and ad hoc portfolio analyses. The role is well-suited for candidates with a strong foundation in finance or accounting who are detail-oriented self-starters eager to gain hands‑on experience in private credit portfolio management.
Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Reviewing and analyzing portfolio company financial statements and key credit metrics to monitor performance and risk
Preparing recurring performance updates in collaboration with the investment team
Contributing to materials and analyses for quarterly portfolio review meetings
Maintaining and improving fund-level databases and reporting tools
Tracking portfolio-level cash flows and deployment activity to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation with the portfolio accounting team
Coordinating internal and external reporting requirements, including management reports, credit facility reporting, and investor presentations
Conducting ad hoc portfolio analyses in support of investment team and fundraising initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree with a record of strong academic performance; preferred concentration in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field
1-3 years of finance, accounting, or other directly relevant experience
Strong financial and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to independently interpret and synthesize data into clear insights
Industry knowledge and familiarity with loan terms, capital structures, and credit documentation is strongly preferred
Highly motivated self-starter with superb verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a cross-functional team environment while maintaining a high degree of individual accountability
Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with SQL or portfolio analytics tools is beneficial but not required
