Job Overview The Licensing and Regulation Division has two attorney vacancies; one is housed in the Cannabis Section and the other vacancy is housed within the Health/Occupational Section.

Responsibilities

Handle various legal assignments of varying complexity.

Draft division‑level legal advice.

Provide day‑to‑day legal representation for state agencies, boards, commissions, officers, and employees.

Represent in administrative proceedings and in state and federal courts.

Minimum Qualifications

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.

Experience

Attorney‑Staff P15: No specific type or amount required.

Attorney‑Senior 16: Four years of post‑bar admission legal experience.

Additional Qualifications

Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.

Compensation Salary: $33.53 – $71.64 Hourly
