About the role: We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and driven General Manager to join the Savory Hospitality team at one of our business dining locations. Our ideal candidate will anticipate and address the needs of the company and our clientele with a heavy focus on hospitality, service, health and safety standards, and team management.
Responsibilities:
Direct and oversee site production, activities, and personnel
Lead the onsite operation in developing short- and long-term goals, constantly evaluating and reporting on the progress of these goals to executive leadership
Implement and maintain client-established budget
Recruit, onboard, and establish ongoing training for the onsite front-of-house catering team
Serve as the onsite representative of Savory leadership, proactively providing solutions and escalating issues as necessary
Embody Savory’s core hospitality standards at every turn, externally with our guests and internally with teammates while maintaining a strong sense of professionalism
Communicate dynamically, both internally and externally with all levels of both organizations: upper management, associates, clients, and back-of-house culinary team
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of management experience in a hospitality setting (catering, restaurant, hotel)
Proven experience in budget management, planning, and oversight
Success in delegating and prioritizing to maximize the operation’s efficiency
Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Excel and Word. Restaurant365 and/or Flex Catering experience is a plus!
Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to train, manage, and supervise a diverse team
Effective problem-solving and mediation skills
Job requirements:
NY Food Handler’s Certification, or willingness to obtain one within one month of hire
Standing and walking for the majority of daily working hours
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work a flexible schedule daytime Monday – Friday and occasionally including nights, weekends, or holidays
What we offer:
Competitive salary ($110,000.00 - $125,000.00), commensurate with experience
