Job Overview
We are looking for a Project Engineer to focus on dredging production and safety. We are a team of servant leaders. We are self-starters. We are not micro managers; our employees are given the tools to succeed and evaluated on their effort and results. You will not have the ability to hide out in big corporate. You must have clamshell dredging experience. You must have a safety mindset. Hypack and Dredgepack experience is preferred. Multibeam survey/survey management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of the Project Engineer will be dredging production and implementation of the company’s safety culture. The Project Engineer directs all dig strategy with the dredge management team, which consists of the Project Engineer, on-site Quality Control Manager, and Dredge Operator. The Project Engineer oversees all safety meetings, inspections and action items on site. The Project Engineer will also assist the Project Manager in establishing, maintaining and performing all duties required to provide administrative and logistics support for dredging project jobsites.
Requirements The requirements and travel for this position would best be described as Hybrid. During the dredging season from approx. June through January, you will be expected to work 84 hours a week on dredging projects, which require travel. Your schedule can be negotiated as rotational for work life balance, or you can work maximum hours and be one of the highest grossing project engineers in the industry. In the offseason, the Project Engineer will support the management team in pre and post construction submittals, implementation of the company's safety and training program, and manage the maintenance and improvements of dredging equipment hardware and software systems. Large block time off will be available during the dredging offseason as requested.

Experience
3-5 years of clamshell dredging and maritime safety experience is required, with a strong understanding of production tracking and improvement principles.
Hypack/Dredgepack software experience is preferred.
Multibeam Survey experience or management experience is preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD modeling in three dimensions.
Proficiency in using Bluebeam for document management.
Education and Certifications
B.S. in an Enginering Discipline required.
TWIC Card preferred
Boaters Card (any state) preferred
OSHA 30 preferred
Compensation and Benefits Hourly Rate: $50-$65/hr base, DOE. Dredging projects work 84 hours a week; with 44 hours of overtime and 40 hours of regular time.
Pay band: $115,000 to $165,000 a year, based on 2,000-3,000 hours a year. This will be a topic of discussion during your interview.
