Overview Lead the editorial vision of Decision Magazine, a monthly publication that informs and challenges readers about key cultural and Biblical issues while extending the ministry of BGEA.
Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and provide editorial direction to the Decision staff for print, web, and email communications.
Brainstorm story ideas, develop a monthly editorial calendar, and produce content that attracts, engages, and deepens relationships with readers.
Select and commission authors, work with them to develop articles, and commission contract writers as needed.
Manage workflow processes—assign articles, edit content, and submit database selects.
Ensure project deadlines are met, assist in layout corrections for printing, and map web feature planning.
Brainstorm ways to cultivate new subscribers, raise revenue through promotional efforts, and manage the Decision budget.
Travel domestically and internationally to provide real‑time reporting on BGEA ministry events.
Qualifications
Proven editorial leadership in a magazine, trade, or non‑profit publication.
Strong theological education and understanding of BGEA’s biblical and ethical positions.
Business and budget management experience at a leadership level.
Excellent written, interview, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Willingness to travel frequently and work under tight deadlines.
