Job Summary and Qualifications The Senior Pharmacy Benefit Account Manager (AM) serves as the principal liaison with small to medium HealthTrust and CoreTrust PBM member companies. The AM establishes and maintains professional business relationships with member companies, their consulting teams, and the PBM supplier partner. The AM develops and maintains an account plan, gathers and interprets pharmacy-related data, and presents savings results and other key information to members. This position is office-based in Nashville, TN and may require up to 25% travel, including overnight travel.

What you will do in this role

Formulates and leads as the single point of contact for cross-business unit strategies and plans for the member.

Meets member-specific targets for contract performance, trend management, savings and strategic objectives.

Establishes productive, professional relationships with key benefit contacts throughout the member organization.

Leads solution development efforts addressing customer needs, coordinating HealthTrust, Coalition Consultant and PBM supplier personnel.

Builds strategic partnerships with the member company and their consulting team to advance the employee benefit strategic plan and company goals.

Establishes strong relationships with internal Account Directors and Clinical Resources to become a trusted advisor.

Gathers and compiles pharmacy-related data ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Applies statistical and analytical techniques to identify trends and opportunities.

Develops and delivers reports and dashboards with actionable insights for improving operations and costs.

Provides client implementation support and guidance.

Reviews changes in formulary strategy including exclusions and utilization management updates.

Maintains working knowledge of employee pharmacy benefits, PBM industry and PBM supplier operations.

Demonstrates advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.

Analyzes large datasets, communicates data insights effectively, and demonstrates financial knowledge and business acumen.

Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization, including the C-Suite.

Manages multiple projects and timelines; demonstrates executive presence and emotional intelligence.

Executes independently and collaboratively; knows when to involve leadership.

Interprets drug literature and clinical trial information for clinical and non-clinical audiences.

Maintains comprehensive knowledge of formulary managed care systems and practices.

What qualifications you will need

Accredited College Pharmacy Degree required

PharmD or RPh designation

Minimum 3+ years of strategic account management experience with a PBM or large employee benefit consulting firm with a focus on pharmacy benefits

Project management experience

Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI

Consulting experience a plus

Registered pharmacist
