Our NORAD Operations Group Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC). We support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through ITW/AA and NISSC II, has provided:
Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties
The Network Operator
supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the ITW/AA and NISSC II. Responsibilities include:
Provide mission-critical voice and data services communication for 800+ circuits supporting customers at CMSFS and around the world.
Sustain, troubleshoot, and repair standard voice and data network infrastructure systems and cryptographic equipment.
Maintain operational oversight of system, trunk, circuit, and equipment performance.
Coordinate and assist in troubleshooting, isolating, and correcting network systems and circuit errors.
Create and update outage tickets and shift logs.
Brief leadership on circuit/equipment status when needed.
Perform daily cryptographic loads to equipment (e.g., KIV-7Ms, KG-175Xs, KG-250/255s) and complete COMSEC paperwork.
Analyze problems and conduct fault diagnosis and system recovery.
Handle COMSEC materials daily.
Use electronics and network principles.
Shift Work:
Shift work is required to support 24x7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule.
This position will be filled and work onsite at
Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado .
Tech Control Facility is a 24x7 high operational working environment. There are sets 12 hours working shifts, 3 or 4 days per week. With a maximum of 84 working hours every 2 weeks.

Basic Requirements
Current TS w/ SCI eligibility is required.
6 months or more of directly related experience.
1 year or more of general work experience.
CompTIA Security+ Certification is required.
Knowledge of OSI, TCP/IP, and various layer 2 protocols.
Knowledge of platforms such as Radius and/or TACACS.
Knowledge of Juniper and RedHat Linux.
Knowledge of data center/long-haul transportation and serial data interfaces, cat-X, fiber, and Long-Haul Transport mechanisms.
Desired Requirements
Juniper OS certification. Linux/UNIX skills.
Experience with Juniper routers, switches, and Circuit to Packet (CTP) equipment.
Experience with Automated Ticketing Systems (ServiceNow/Remedy).
Experience with signal flow.
Experience with transport circuit drawings/records.
Knowledge of network transport equipment in a large DoD NOC and DISA processes and procedures.
Knowledge of specialized test equipment (oscilloscope, protocol analyzer, BER test equipment, LAN Analyzer, etc.).
Experience prioritizing and managing workloads.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
This position is expected to pay $70,000 - $80,000
annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
