Central Virginia Behavioral Health is seeking compassionate and skilled Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) to join our mobile crisis response team. This vital role involves providing immediate crisis stabilization services to individuals of all ages throughout the tri‑city area who are at risk of psychiatric hospitalization or out‑of‑home placement. As a QMHP, you will utilize your expertise to support individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges within their communities, helping them navigate crises and access necessary resources.The Mobile Crisis Response team at Central Virginia Behavioral Health utilizes a collaborative approach, with two QMHPs forming a core part of a clinical team led by a dedicated Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Manager, and Clinical Director.

Beyond providing immediate care, QMHPs will play a pivotal role in coordinating a comprehensive approach to client support. This includes collaborating with families to facilitate crisis intervention and stabilization, ensuring seamless integration with existing treatment plans, and overseeing the client's journey through the program from admission to discharge. Candidates with a background in Emergency Services, Mobile Crisis Response, or Community Crisis Stabilization are highly desired, as is familiarity with the local mental health service landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and submit Individualized Service Plans and other necessary program documentation in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with DBHDS and Medicaid standards.

Complete all Serious Incident Reports within 24 hours.

Meet with clinical supervisor weekly to review cases.

Conduct client file audits as necessary to ensure Medicaid and DBHDS compliance.

Implement safety planning on day 1 of service initiation due to acute symptoms and short admission periods.

Investigate and report all Human Rights reportable incidents according to agency policies.

Adhere to agency policies and procedures and undertake tasks assigned by the Crisis Supervisor and Program Director for program success.

Requirements

Obtain QMHP registration from the Virginia Board of Counseling.

Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Ability to obtain an official copy of college transcript.

Possess active valid car insurance coverage.

Salary Details

QMHP-Trainee: $30.00-$35.00 per hour.

QMHP-A, QMHP-C, or higher: $32.00-$38.00 per hour.

Negotiable pay rates for LMHP-Type and higher.

Must have QMHP Certification New Hire Bonuses

A $500 Sign-On Bonus after a positive 90‑Day Evaluation.

Eligibility for $500 Performance Bonuses Bi‑Annually.
