Base Pay Range $156,000.00/yr – $296,500.00/yr
Job Description The Sales Training Director is a pivotal role that strategically translates franchise and brand strategies into a comprehensive annual training plan aimed at achieving patient and financial goals. By implementing training programs that enhance clinical, selling, and business acumen, the Director drives performance of sales professionals and expands the organization’s talent pipeline.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Strategic Vision – Delivers short‑ and long‑term strategy by proactively identifying, prioritizing, and responding to training needs.
Strategic Alignment – Collaborates with Marketing, Sales Leadership, and internal partners to design, develop, and execute training programs that meet evolving marketplace and customer requirements.
Enterprise Leadership – Models fiscal responsibility and aligns training initiatives with company priorities, ensuring appropriate resource allocation.
Team Development – Leads a team, preparing members for increased scope and responsibility while managing staffing needs and succession planning.
Inclusive Leadership – Fosters an inclusive environment, promoting diversity, open dialogue, and engagement across the organization.
Innovation & Change Management – Advocates data‑driven change and innovation, working beyond functional silos to implement broad organizational success.
Essential Skills and Abilities
Exceptional oral and written communication; proficient in presenting to diverse executive audiences.
Advanced planning, project management, and analytical skills, with a strong foundation in sales and marketing strategies.
Effective listener who anticipates challenges, explores the ‘why’, and proactively offers solutions.
Decision‑making that benefits the broader enterprise, including making unpopular but necessary choices.
Trusted advisor to leadership stakeholders, providing valuable business insights beyond core therapeutic areas.
Qualifications
Basic – Bachelor’s degree required.
10+ years of experience in sales, sales training, and leadership roles, or equivalent.
Proven experience managing large field‑based teams and in‑house teams.
Experience navigating complex headquarters environments.
Strong motivational presence and proven effectiveness with large audiences.
Hands‑on knowledge of effective selling skills.
Preferred
Master’s degree.
Marketing experience and/or marketing leadership in a matrixed environment.
Experience training at the leadership level and managing teams of experienced trainers.
Location Florham Park, New Jersey. On‑site three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Travel required to attend regional leadership conferences and training events.
