This role is part of Jacobs’ commitment to solving critical environmental and engineering challenges. The Entry-Level Waste Solutions Engineer will support a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world-class projects.

Based in North America (preferred locations: Sacramento, CA; Bellevue, WA; Spokane, WA; Portland, OR; Boise, ID; Irvine, CA; or Anchorage, AK), you’ll assist with data collection and management, data review, development of technical reports, calculating emissions estimates, and other project support tasks.

Base pay range $58,656.00/yr – $88,000.00/yr

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Willingness to perform field work.

United States Citizenship.

Ability to work in one of the preferred locations for this internship (Sacramento, CA; Bellevue, WA; Spokane, WA; Portland, OR; Boise, ID; Irvine, CA; or Anchorage, CA) or other Western US locations based on project needs.

Ideally, you’ll also have

A previous internship related to your field of study.

Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs.

Self‑driven time management and organizational skills.

Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and hold an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) designation.

Ability to obtain 40‑hour Hazardous Waste and Emergency Operations (HAZWOPER) training and current 8‑hour HAZWOPER refresher class, if needed for the role.
