Job Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of high‑risk C & I, CRE and Business Banking relationships, focusing on complex exposures. Analyze assigned relationships, evaluate information from multiple sources, and develop mitigation solutions to protect bank loss and control non‑performing assets. Develop and maintain strong borrower relationships; negotiate complex restructurings, loan agreements, and exit plans while ensuring regulatory compliance. Identify and recommend referral for account liquidation and legal action, overseeing all recovery processes to maximize recovery and control expenses. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience. 15 years of combined commercial lending/commercial workout experience, with at least 5 years of commercial workout experience preferred. Comprehensive understanding of Commercial Lending, credit and collateral analysis. Strong credit skills and ability to analyze all levels of financial statements. Knowledge of business collection laws, government guaranty programs (SBA, FSA, USDA), negotiation skills, judgment, organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple cases, work under pressure, and work independently with minimal supervision. Tasks Performed
45% Shadow Account Management: Work with commercial lending team on high‑risk line‑handled loans to prevent further deterioration, providing advice and consultation to credit administration, borrowers, participant lenders, legal counsel and third‑party vendors. 45% Asset Quality Remediation: Manage the highest risk commercial loans, including non‑accruals, foreclosures, liquidations, bankruptcies and ORE, working with internal peers to develop and employ workout strategies to improve asset quality metrics. 5% Asset Disposition: Maintain, market and manage disposition of other assets acquired by the Bank, including foreclosed real estate OREO. 5% Other duties as assigned.
