Position Summary:
The Math Interventionist will work remotely from your home in South Carolina for the 2025‑2026 school year. The role supports student achievement in Mathematics by analyzing data to develop intervention pathways for students struggling academically, implementing small‑group and individual instruction, monitoring and reporting student progress, and participating in both in‑person and virtual student‑centered activities and events.
Job Functions:
Oversee the MTSS process at the middle school level, attend associated trainings, provide professional development to staff, and maintain MTSS records.
Provide high‑quality instruction to individual students and small groups.
Use data to guide instruction and align student skills with grade‑level expectations.
Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to identify best practices for individual and small groups.
Implement researched‑based interventions focused on individual student needs.
Maintain data‑based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress.
Provide data to school teams and participate in decisions about student progress.
Communicate with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress.
Assist with identifying students for placement into intervention groups.
Participate in RTI meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progress.
Provide diagnostic assessments for students as needed.
Contribute input for program development.
Support implementation of assessment tools and data management systems.
Support grade‑level teachers in delivering content and provide additional instruction as needed.
Teach and monitor the Math Enrichment courses.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School Math in South Carolina (appropriate to grade level and content area responsibilities).
Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
Team‑player track record; ability to collaborate.
Customer‑focused approach.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require overnight travel).
Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families.
