Position Summary

Working from your home in South Carolina, the Interventionist is responsible for supporting student achievement in ELA. They analyze data to develop intervention pathways for students who are struggling academically and use data to develop and implement small group and individual instruction. They monitor, report, and communicate student progress and participate in both in-person and virtual student-centered activities and events. Responsibilities

Oversees the MTSS process at the middle school level, including attending trainings, providing PD to staff, and maintaining MTSS records. Provide high quality instruction to individual students and small groups Use data to guide instruction and bring students to grade-level proficiency Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to identify best practices for individuals and small groups Apply identified research-based interventions focused on individual student needs Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress Provide data to school teams and participate in decisions about student progress Communicate with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress Assist with identifying students for placement into intervention groups Participate in RTI meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss placement and progress Provide diagnostic assessments for students as needed Provide input for program development Support implementation of assessment tools and data management systems Support grade level teachers in what they are teaching to provide further instruction as needed Teach and monitor the ELA Enrichment courses Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School ELA in South Carolina (appropriate to grade level and content area responsibilities) Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs) Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team player with collaboration skills Customer-focused approach Ability to work independently and remotely Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events (may require overnight travel) Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support families Please note 2-step authentication is required to set up login to all systems if given a job offer.
