Senior Network Engineer – Richmond, VA
Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts. Our client, Info Origin Inc., is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to implement and support the agency’s IT Network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers.
Document network architecture, topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls.
Troubleshoot network issues impacting application performance and uptime.
Collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SDWAN configurations.
Work independently on assigned projects and ensure configurations are accurate and up-to-date.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting local‑area and wide‑area enterprise networks.
Certification such as Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA‑Junos, or equivalent.
Knowledge of networking protocols: ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, Etherchannel, HSRP, QoS, multicast, IPsec, etc.
Experience with SDWAN and cloud networking.
Strong analytical, documentation, and independent project management skills.
