About the Role The IT Project Manager – Facilities will serve as the primary liaison between IT infrastructure teams, facility project managers, and federal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of facility renovation, relocation, and technology deployment initiatives across CONUS and OCONUS sites. The role requires strong project leadership, stakeholder coordination, and a deep understanding of IT infrastructure (network, wireless, telephony, and security systems). The successful candidate will manage complex multi‑site deployments, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure delivery within schedule, budget, and SLA commitments.
Core Responsibilities
Lead facility IT deployment and renovation projects, coordinating network, wireless, and telephony installations.
Manage end‑to‑end project lifecycles including planning, execution, and closure in compliance with organizational SLAs and AQL standards.
Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, vendors, and government facility project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
Develop and maintain weekly deliverables, including project plans, dashboards, and status reports for senior leadership.
Coordinate with circuit vendors and internal network teams to ensure timely circuit delivery, mapping, and testing of new facilities.
Oversee scheduling of shipments, deliveries, and installation activities in alignment with federal security and access requirements.
Support configuration and verification of telephony and physical security systems (PIV readers, access controls).
Apply Agile project management principles to enhance transparency, communication, and team performance.
Utilize collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Teams to manage backlogs, track milestones, and document dependencies.
Identify risks, track issues, and proactively resolve obstacles to maintain SLA compliance.
Conduct after‑action reviews, trend analysis, and lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
7–9 years of IT project management experience, preferably in federal or large‑scale enterprise environments.
Demonstrated success managing facility infrastructure or network deployment projects.
Experience coordinating multi‑vendor engagements and ensuring timely delivery of IT services.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong communication skills for collaboration with engineers, leadership, and government stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage budgets, SLAs, and performance metrics for multiple concurrent projects.
Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and MS Teams.
Preferred Certifications
PMP or CAPM certification.
ITIL certification or equivalent understanding of IT service management.
Experience with federal facility operations or telecommunications modernization projects.
Understanding of network, wireless, and security infrastructure within government or DoD environments.
