Senior Systems Administrator – Quantico, VA
ECS is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to work in our Quantico, VA office. The role supports the Criminal Investigation Management System (CIMS) which supports the Army Law Enforcement mission under the United States Army Criminal Investigation Division (USACID). These responsibilities will support IT operations, maintenance, development, testing, and application security for CIMS.
Responsibilities
Provides full system sustainment functions – system administration, including configuration management, patch deployment, account creation, log monitoring, and security compliance across all customer environments.
Coordinates closely with the Help Desk team to resolve escalated user access issues and supports Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes to ensure alignment with release schedules and security protocols.
Ensures customer environments remain secure, available, and properly configured to meet mission needs.
VMware Aria Operations for Networks 6.x (formerly known as vRealize Network Insights or VRNI).
Storage (SAN/NAS): NETAPP Ontap.
Backup: Cohesity Data Protection 7.x.
Windows Server 2022 Datacenter – Active Directory, GPOs, Failover Clustering, HA, IIS 10, Load‑balancing.
Oracle/Linux 9.5, RHEL 9.5, Apache/Tomcat.
Kubernetes 1.31 – Elli, Tanzu 4.x, Docker v.27.
Monitoring – Apps: Dynatrace; Systems: ScienceLogic SL1.
Cybersecurity – patching, DISA STIGs, POA&Ms.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline with 5+ years of experience in system administration, or Associate’s degree with 7+ years of experience.
Active Top Secret Clearance.
Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
Must have one of the following or ability to obtain:
Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator or equivalent (MC SSHAAA).
Microsoft System Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent.
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent.
Desired Skills
Agile/SAFe experience.
Excellent communication skills.
