Job Summary Instructional Developer works within Center for Instructional Excellence (CIE) in Purdue University. The primary focus is to collaborate with instructors enrolled in the IMPACT Critical Thinking (CT) professional development program and other CIE instructional development programs such as IMPACT FLC and Foundations of Teaching. The developer provides developmental guidance, consultation, and support to instructors across disciplines. Responsibilities Consult with faculty on integration of critical thinking skills into curricula. Assist with course design for face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online environments. Collaborate with stakeholders in departments and units to enhance instructional practices. Provide coaching and professional development to instructors in the IMPACT CT program. Work within a collaborative team; weekly in‑person work is expected, hybrid work possible. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Two (2) years’ experience in higher education or professional development; experience supporting faculty and instructional staff preferred. Experience working with faculty to integrate critical thinking into curriculum. Ability to work in changing, ambiguous, and fluid situations. Experience in course design across hybrid and online environments. Strong communication skills, both written and spoken. Excellent organizational skills. Nice to Have Master’s degree. Experience teaching in higher education. Additional Information Purdue will not sponsor employment authorisation for this position. A background check will be required for employment in this position. FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime). Retirement Eligibility: Defined Contribution Waiting Period.
