HR Generalist

Summary : The HR Generalist is an essential partner to our Owosso, MI Operations team and will provide comprehensive HR support to plant management onsite five days a week. The role will primarily support the Owosso plant and will also lead and provide support with Ventek HR-related projects as needed. Key Responsibilities
Provides HR support to the operations teams, including administering company policies, procedures and programs. Leads and supports employee engagement and culture activities. Ensures accurate timekeeping and payroll details for timely payroll processing. Monitors the local market to understand wage practices and employment trends. Works with Managers and corporate Talent Acquisition to determine staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and facilitates the hiring process. Conducts employee onboarding, training, and assists management with performance monitoring according to Ventek standards. Acts as point of contact for benefit programs, including open enrollment communication, benefits enrollment, and resolving benefit issues. Partners with leadership on coaching, development, employee relations matters, and investigations as needed. Manages leave of absence requests including FMLA, ADA, and Worker’s Compensation matters. Maintains working knowledge of existing and new Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the workforce, making recommendations to update policies and procedures. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. Additional Responsibilities
Other and similar duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of three years’ experience working in one or more functional areas of Human Resources or a related area, with at least two years’ experience with Employee Relations, Policy and Procedure administration, compliance, and/or related HR Generalist experience is preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred. Operationally proficient with Microsoft Office suite and applicant tracking systems. Must be detail oriented. Must be an effective communicator and builds relationships across functions. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the education requirement. Ventek Solutions offers a comprehensive benefits package.
