Senior Accountant (North Metro Atlanta)

Base Pay Range

$70,000 / yr – $75,000 / yr

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper reconciliation and timely processing.
• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, maintaining audit‑ready documentation.
• Develop and implement accounting policies in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, and conduct variance analysis.
• Perform profitability and cost‑benefit analyses to support business decisions.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional development.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support financial aspects of business initiatives.
• Track and manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial data clearly.
• A proactive, self‑driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
