Position Overview Are you a former Architect with strong business acumen and the drive to shape the future of Autodesk’s Architecture Industry Strategy? We’re seeking a Senior Architecture Industry Strategy Manager to join the AEC Design Strategy team. This role demands a strategic, action‑oriented leader who can cut through ambiguity, identify growth opportunities, and execute with precision. You will define long‑term industry vision, validate market opportunities, and drive initiatives that bring Autodesk’s next‑generation platforms into core architecture workflows.

The ideal candidate is a creative and structured thinker, a self‑starter, and a proven collaborator who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. You will partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Industry Business leaders to craft and execute growth strategies that resonate with customers and establish Autodesk as the clear thought leader. You will represent Autodesk with authority through customer councils, executive engagements, industry engagements, and global events.

Responsibilities

Drive development of the strategic GTM plan (short and long‑term) for Architecture. Collaborate with peers in the Industry Strategy team to shape the AEC Strategy and propel initiatives across vertical industries.

Spearhead market research, analyze data and customer feedback, and evaluate industry trends to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Influence and implement growth plans with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to include successful GTM approaches for new products and platforms.

Present findings and deliver GTM recommendations to leadership including Strategic Plans & Opportunity Proposals.

Engage customers and the industry through Executive Customer Councils, Executive Briefings, Industry Events & Working Groups, and Media Support.

Lead partnerships as well as M&A strategy & execution for the Architecture business.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years professional experience in Architecture with a strong understanding of design and practice workflows.

10+ years of total related experience, including Architecture and business roles in strategy, technology, or consulting.

Strategy or management consulting experience (e.g., top‑tier firm or equivalent strategic role).

Expert proficiency with building compelling presentations, crafting executive‑level visuals, and performing advanced data analysis (pivot tables, complex formulas, charts, and dashboards).

Proven experience driving results in a matrixed environment through cross‑functional collaboration with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Business teams.

Advanced research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with ability to distill market insights into actionable strategy.

Experience presenting to C‑staff with a strong executive presence, and engaging customers, partners, and industry leaders.

Master’s degree in Architecture (MBA a plus).

Travel 20‑30% for customer and industry engagements.

Advanced expertise relevant to senior leaders, with the ability to provide relevant subject‑matter advice.

Experience developing novel, highly innovative solutions and integrating cross‑functional processes.

Capability to anticipate business challenges and proactively develop solutions to address them.

Influence leaders within own function to adopt solutions, establish priorities, and allocate resources.

May lead teams or projects with broad visibility.

Salary Transparency For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $148,200 and $239,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
