Family Physician (PRN)
to provide compassionate primary care with a focus on HIV/AIDS or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) prevention and management. This role serves a diverse, underserved population in Dallas and surrounding counties. Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Deliver adult primary care, diagnose and manage HIV/AIDS or SUD treatment, and monitor comorbid conditions such as hepatitis, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders. Resident & Medical Student Teaching:
Mentor residents in an outpatient setting, lead didactic sessions, case discussions, and hands‑on training focused on HIV or SUD care, infectious diseases, and high‑risk population primary care. Preventive & Holistic Care:
Manage chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia), conduct routine health screenings, vaccinations, and mental health assessments for whole‑patient wellness. Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other providers, pharmacists, case managers, and social workers to provide holistic, integrated care. Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Current unrestricted Texas medical license (or ability to obtain). DEA, DPS, and related certifications (or ability to obtain). Preferred board certification or significant experience in HIV or SUD care. Experience in resident and medical student education is helpful. Knowledge of Ryan White‑funded programs, LGBTQ+ healthcare, or underserved populations is highly desirable. Strong commitment to health equity, harm reduction, and patient advocacy. Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations. Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health records. MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Servant heart with a desire to make a positive community impact.
