Location Onsite or Remote. Candidates must be Wisconsin residents or willing to relocate within 30 days of start date. Headquarters is downtown Madison, WI. Hybrid: 60% remote, 40% in office weekly.
Position Overview Microsoft .NET Web Developer III to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain solutions for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) IT Custom Application Development Section.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain custom web applications in Microsoft .NET environment.
Provide reliable, responsive support and updates to existing systems.
Collaborate with DNR Application Architect Lead and team members to integrate applications and IT infrastructure.
Understand interactions between applications, services, and evaluate impacts of changes or additions.
Stay current on technological advancements and align solutions with industry, agency standards, and emerging business requirements.
Required Skills (8+ yrs)
Advanced application development skillsets within Microsoft .NET Framework.
Coding experience in .NET MVC (C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, Bootstrap).
Experience applying accessibility and security standards to custom applications.
Experience developing applications with Oracle databases, including stored procedures and SQL.
Experience working in Azure DevOps, keeping work items updated and code management.
Desired Skills
Experience working at DNR or another Government agency.
Experience with Microsoft Suite (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).
Experience with GIS, especially Esri JavaScript APIs.
