Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
About The Opportunity A mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a hands‑on Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and a commitment to operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with accuracy and timeliness
Manage all aspects of GAAP financial reporting, audits, and compliance
Supervise and mentor a small accounting team
Ensure proper accounting for grants, reimbursements, and restricted funds
Partner with leadership on budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis
Implement and enhance internal controls, systems, and procedures
Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and healthcare compliance agencies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in healthcare — preferred, NOT REQUIRED
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
Experience with MIP, Sage Intacct, or similar systems
