Overview
Customer Claims Analyst — Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream (DGIC). This remote-based role with preference for candidates in CA reports to the Finance Operations Manager and focuses on managing customer deductions and credit processing within JD Edwards (JDE). The position serves as the primary liaison between customers and the Accounts Receivables team, ensuring accurate credit issuance and resolution of invalid deductions.
Role and Responsibilities
Manage inputs from email, JD Edwards Accounts Receivable reporting, and OSD application to process valid customer credits in JDE to offset deductions, for both Trade and non-Trade deductions; communicate with Accounts Receivable for invalid deductions.
Work with internal partners to determine if non-Trade deductions are valid and communicate with customers for additional paperwork as needed to validate.
Process Trade deductions received and validated by Sales in JDE; issue credits to customers and communicate with AR to offset deductions in JDE.
Participate in internal meetings to assess customer behaviors related to deductions and contribute to planning for efficiency opportunities.
Experience and Education
Undergraduate degree strongly preferred
2–4 years of experience in Supply Chain (e.g., Order Management, Distribution, Inventory Management, Transportation, Demand and Supply Planning, etc.)
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical aptitude with the ability to analyze and interpret data
Well-organized, methodical thinker with strong decision-making skills
Creative problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proficiency in JD Edwards preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
APICS certification (or progress toward certification) beneficial
