Bankruptcy/Creditor’s Rights Attorney – New York
An established, multi-state law firm is seeking a
Creditor’s Rights Attorney
to join its expanding New York team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to handle a varied and challenging caseload within a respected practice focused on mortgage foreclosure, collections, and creditor representation.
Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Manage a high-volume caseload of creditor’s rights and real estate-related matters.
Handle mortgage foreclosure and collections proceedings from start to finish.
Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations across New York.
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Resolve discovery disputes and contribute to case strategy development.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver efficient legal solutions.
Requirements
Active
New York Bar admission
(federal district and bankruptcy court admission preferred or ability to obtain).
5+ years’ experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections.
Strong knowledge of
creditor’s rights, TILA, RESPA, FDCPA , and bankruptcy law preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters independently while maintaining high-quality client service.
Willingness to attend hearings and travel across the state as needed.
