Job Overview
EB Account Manager at USI Insurance Services manages employee benefits insurance accounts and serves as the primary day‑to‑day contact for clients. The role is responsible for maintaining client relationships, coordinating carrier interactions, and ensuring the delivery of benefits solutions. Responsibilities
Manage a book of business comprised of fully insured clients, including some self‑insured clients. Provide proactive, personalized support to assigned clients and act as the main liaison between clients and insurance carriers. Prepare materials for client meetings and advise clients on compliance topics such as ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s, and Health Care Reform. Set up new group insurance contracts for existing and new clients. Manage the renewal process, including the preparation of contractual changes. Implement and manage programs recommended by technical resources (e.g., wellness, communications, pharmacy). May be responsible for marketing and placement of new benefit products. Prepare client applications for review and determine the most appropriate carriers. Analyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage offerings. Make recommendations to clients and develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost‑reduction opportunities. Champion client cross‑selling initiatives and develop customer accounts. Conduct on‑site meetings to communicate or administer benefit plans. Coordinate, manage, and attend client meetings both virtually and in person. Develop employee communications for renewal changes, enrollment procedures, benefit changes, and clarifications. Provide resolution support and oversight for client issues such as contract clarifications and billing. Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in the employee benefits industry or a related marketplace. College degree preferred. Prior customer service experience preferred. Must hold or be willing to earn a life and disability insurance license within 90 days of joining the team. Comfortable with internet‑based programs and Microsoft Office products. Strong ability to set priorities, manage deadlines, and work in a fast‑paced, team environment with minimal instruction. Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables. Knowledge of industry information, technology, and trends. Benefits
Salary range: $64,600 – $94,500.
