USI Insurance Services . General description: Manages Employee Benefits insurance accounts and services as the day-to-day contact. Responsibilities
Manage a book of business comprised of fully insured clients, with potential self-insured clients. Book consists of Large Group accounts. Revenue around 800K and growing. Provide proactive, personalized support to assigned clients. Act as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers. Prepare materials for client meetings. Educate, advise, and assist clients on all compliance topics, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s, and Health Care Reform. Set up new group insurance contracts for existing or new clients. Manage the renewal process, including preparation of contractual changes. Implement and manage programs recommended by technical resources (e.g., wellness, communications, strategies, pharmacy). May be responsible for marketing and placement of new benefit products. Prepare client applications for review. Determine most appropriate carriers. Analyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage offerings. Make recommendations to clients. Develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities. Champion client cross-selling initiatives and develop customer accounts. Conduct on-site and virtual meetings to communicate or administer benefit plans. Develop employee communications for renewal changes, enrollment procedures, benefit changes and/or clarifications. Provide resolution support and oversight for client issues such as contract clarifications and billing. Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in the employee benefits industry or related marketplace. College degree preferred. Must be organized, structured, detailed, and able to take charge of a situation. Prior customer service experience is preferred. Must hold life and disability insurance license. Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products. Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction. Keep informed about industry information, technology, and trends. Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables. Requirements
Must be able to work at least 2-3 days per week in our Buffalo location. Compensation and Benefits
