About the role The Systems Integration and Test Engineer working on Network Communications (NetComms) will be responsible for complete end‑to‑end integration testing of vehicle network architecture down to the physical layer of the network and participate in the system level design activities for the LV system and architecture. You will be the point person for anything network testing related on this platform and lead the bring‑up activities in each of the vehicle builds for your domain. You will conceptualize, design, engineer, develop and support the launch of next‑generation vehicle platforms for electric vehicles.

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields

Strong Electrical and Embedded Systems Engineering fundamentals with expertise in automotive networks and various protocols.

Strong experience with testing of networking HW, from switches, controllers, transceivers, and high‑speed cabling.

5+ years of experience with Vehicle Network Protocols such as CAN, LIN & Automotive Ethernet.

Experience with automotive network development tools and software, such as Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Wireshark, and Ethernet‑based tools for network analysis and debugging.

Strong knowledge of automotive electric architectures, including power distribution, communication networks, and vehicle electrification technologies.

Strong foundations in software systems design of networking and embedded areas covering the complete software development life cycle.

Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

Experience with tuning of vehicle software & hardware for network physical layer performance.

Excellent teamwork, problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.

Experience in leading product development from concept to deployment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

An eagerness to work cross‑functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high‑performing team.

A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, integration and functional testing of Vehicle Network Architecture and optimization for network switch and various network interfaces such as CAN, 100b‑T1 and 10b‑T1S Ethernet, LIN, etc.

Define and document network communication testing requirements, specifications, and interfaces considering factors such as bandwidth, latency, reliability, and scalability.

Characterize the Vehicle Network by laying out architecture and conducting network performance analysis, simulation, and testing to validate the functionality, reliability, and robustness of network communication systems under various operating conditions and environmental factors.

Collaborate with part owners, firmware developers and system engineers to determine the optimal functional messages allocation across the vehicle serial data network channels.

Collaborate with functional safety and functional safety groups to develop network architecture infrastructure enablers to support fail‑operational and fail‑safe requirements.

Report development progress and maturity at various program milestones.

Drive the team to deliver and maintain Interface Definition Documents (DBC/LDF/XML) and chair the Network Change Request Forum to track and manage changes to the network.
