Overview Our team members are the heart of what makes us better. In this role, you will manage the PM lifecycle for HMH systems, coordinating testing, deployment, and verification of security patches and updates. You will collaborate with Digital Technology Services and IT teams, system owners, and vendors to ensure patch compliance and system stability.
Responsibilities
Manage the PM lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and verification, according to established processes.
Coordinate with DTS/IT teams and system owners to schedule and execute patch deployments, minimizing disruption.
Analyze patch release notes and cybersecurity advisories to assess applicability and impact.
Develop and maintain PM reports and dashboards to monitor compliance.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to PM tools and technologies.
Manage patch exceptions and assist in developing mitigation strategies for non‑compliant systems.
Ensure adherence to PM policies and procedures.
Monitor the latest patch releases, advisories, and best practices.
Provide guidance and mentorship to peers on PM best practices.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of PM processes and procedures.
Travel to any HMH location with minimal notice to provide on‑site support for cybersecurity incidents or critical requests.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 4 years work experience may substitute.
5–7 (9+ if no degree) years of experience in a cybersecurity‑related or analogous IT role with a PM focus.
In‑depth knowledge of PM tools, patch deployment methodologies, and change management processes.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, risk‑assessment, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Passion for cybersecurity and continuous learning in the PM domain.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite platforms.
Willingness to travel to other HMH locations as needed.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
Experience with enterprise PM solutions (e.g., SCCM, Ivanti).
Automation of patch deployment processes.
Knowledge of OS and application security hardening.
Scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with healthcare provider environments and regulations (HIPAA, HITECH).
Required Certifications
Certification within one year of hire: ISC² (e.g., CISSP), ISACA (CISA), CompTIA (Security+), GIAC, or equivalent.
Compensation Starting at $111,924.80 annually. The posted rate reflects a reasonable estimate of the minimum base pay. The total rewards package includes health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
