Join Our Team at Johns Hopkins Hospital – Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU). The PCICU is a 12‑bed unit dedicated to comprehensive care for critically ill cardiac medical and surgical patients from birth through early adulthood. Our unit manages complex congenital heart disease, acquired heart disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias using advanced medical and surgical management, neonatal and pediatric ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and transplantation. Position Details
Role: Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) Registered Nurse Shifts: 12‑hour rotating day/night shifts Responsibilities
Deliver evidence‑based, patient‑centered care. Serve as a role model and mentor for team members. Support clinical decision‑making in complex situations. Assist with patient assignments and unit operations. Qualifications
BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program preferred. Associate’s degree in nursing accepted if enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year of hire and completing the degree within five years. Active Maryland or Compact RN license required. BLS CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted). Minimum of one year of RN experience (previous pediatric critical care experience preferred). Ability to support evidence‑based practices, independently make clinical decisions, and guide others in providing exceptional care. Who Should Apply
