Precast Senior Designer – Lead Concrete Design & Mentor Future Engineering Leaders Fisher Associates is seeking a Precast Senior Designer to spearhead the development of efficient, sustainable, and code‑compliant precast and prestressed concrete solutions. You will provide technical direction, support and guide multidisciplinary design teams, and uphold the highest standards of performance, constructability, and quality. Your expertise will drive transportation and structural infrastructure projects that enhance and strengthen communities.

Job Type: Full‑time

Responsibilities

Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently.

Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost‑effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs.

Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions.

Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards.

Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards.

Support cost estimation for materials.

Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of codes, technologies, and advancements in the precast‑prestressed field.

Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.

Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.

Qualifications

10+ years of precast design experience in transportation infrastructure and underground structures.

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.

Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE‑7, AASHTO; IBC codes a plus.

Professional Engineering License (PE) a plus but not required.

Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D.

Salary Range $100,000 – $150,000 annually, plus signing bonus.
