Position Overview MxD is the nation’s destination for innovative manufacturers. We operate a state-of-the-art 75,000 square foot facility in the heart of Chicago on historic Goose Island to further our mission of convening, advancing, and empowering innovative and secure digital manufacturing across the United States. With over 10,000 visitors annually, we seek to deliver a premium experience for our guests, members, and stakeholders on a daily basis. As the Corporate Events & Partner Growth Coordinator, you will play a dual role in supporting the execution of high-quality corporate events and contributing to MxD’s business development and partner engagement efforts. You will coordinate a portfolio of events hosted at MxD — ranging from partner activations to member meetings and industry gatherings — while helping identify opportunities to expand partner relationships and event-driven engagement. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across MxD to ensure events align with organizational goals, and support the development of proposals, outreach strategies, and systems that help grow MxD’s impact and visibility. This role reports directly to the Manager of Corporate Events.
Position Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning and execution of internal, partner, and third-party events at MxD, ensuring alignment with engagement and growth goals.
Support the development of event proposals, pricing, and packaging strategies that reflect client needs and MxD priorities.
Assist in identifying and pursuing opportunities to engage new and existing partners through events and outreach efforts.
Collaborate with the Strategic Communications team to align marketing efforts with event objectives, including email campaigns, digital ads, and social media.
Maintain and support use of event systems and tools, including room scheduling software (Mazevo) and visitor management systems (Envoy).
Maintain strong organizational systems to manage timelines, tasks, and communication across multiple concurrent events.
Help track key event metrics such as attendance, engagement, client follow-up, and space utilization.
Coordinate onsite logistics, vendor management, A/V support, and real-time problem-solving during events.
Contribute to budget tracking and vendor agreements, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Maintain flexibility to support early morning or evening events as needed.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality, Events, Marketing, Business, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in event coordination, partner engagement, or business development support.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset.
Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with scheduling or CRM tools (experience with Mazevo, Envoy, or similar a plus).
Basic understanding of A/V and comfort with troubleshooting during events.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods.
Must be available to work on-site.

MxD partners with ABM transportation to provide a free shuttle from various public transit stops in and around the Downtown Chicago area to MxD. Also, MxD provides free parking for employees.
