Waveguide LLC – Marketing and Communications Manager Salary: $90,000 per year. Location: Washington, DC (fully remote with occasional travel).

Job Summary Report to the Vice President of Growth as a key member of the Growth team. Provide cross‑functional support in the implementation of sales, business development, marketing, communications, and innovation initiatives. The role is organized into three primary workstreams: proposal development and delivery, communications, and branding & asset management.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business development peers to develop, deliver, and manage proposal responses, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established timelines.

Create compelling PowerPoint presentations for client interviews, integrating text, images, video, audio, and other media.

Develop, maintain, and refresh proposal and presentation templates using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft programs.

Write, select art, and measure internal communications to inform strategic actions.

Perform social media activities, including editorial calendar management, content creation, and data analytics reporting.

Manage waveguide.com and vendor relationships, keeping content current and updating project profiles/case studies.

Manage all multimedia assets, including photography, videography, graphical elements, templates, narratives, resumes, references, case studies, white papers, and presentation archives.

Create engaging visual elements such as graphics, illustrations, animations, and user interfaces across proposals, presentations, internal newsletters, communications apps, and social media.

Stay current on trends and technical capabilities, including utilizing AI tools to enhance workflow & efficiency.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in creative communications, marketing, business development, or related fields. AEC industry experience is a plus.

Understanding of professional services marketing, with knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Copilot).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, executive leaders, and peers.

Superior skills in writing, storytelling, and copy‑editing, with working knowledge of AP Style or equivalent business writing guides.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Copilot, Power BI). Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

WordPress, web, interactive design, and/or video editing experience is a plus.
