Position Title: MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Salary: $90,000

Job Summary Waveguide’s marketing and communications specialist reports to Waveguide’s vice president of Growth and is an integral member of the Growth team. This position provides cross‑function support in the implementation of sales, business development, marketing, communications and innovation initiatives, the responsibilities for which are organized into three primary workstreams: proposal development and delivery; communications; and branding and asset management. This position requires a background in professional services marketing, creative communications, database and asset management, visual identity, and related workstreams.
This is a fully remote role with occasional travel.
Proposal Development and Delivery
With business development peers, assemble and deliver qualifications and proposal responses. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time by adhering to established timelines and due dates.
Create PowerPoint presentations for client interviews. Integrate various media formats including text, images, video, audio, into cohesive multimedia presentations.
Create and regularly refresh proposal and presentation templates with styles for consistency of content hierarchy using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft programs.
Communications
With cross‑function partners, deliver internal communications, including writing, art selection, and effort measurements that inform strategic actions.
Perform social media activities, including editorial calendar management, content creation, and data analytics reporting.
Manage waveguide.com, including keeping content current, updating project profiles/case studies, and posting articles. Manage vendor relationships.
Branding and Asset Management
Using current and future databases, manage all multimedia assets that inform audiences and communicate our story – photography, videography, graphical elements, templates, narratives, resumes, references, case studies, white papers, and presentation archives.
Create engaging visual elements such as graphics, illustrations, animations, and user interfaces that can be used in a variety of channels: proposals, presentations, internal newsletter, communications apps, and social media.
Stay current on trends and technical capabilities, including utilizing AI tools to enhance your workflow & efficiency.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in creative communications, marketing, business development or related fields. AEC industry experience a plus.
Understanding of professional services marketing, with knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Copilot).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, executive leaders, and peers.
Excellent organizational, time management, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to perform work accurately and completely. Efficiently manages time, workflow, and project schedules to meet deadlines with consistent quality.
Superior skills in writing, storytelling, and copy‑editing. Working knowledge of AP Style or equivalent business writing guides.
Superior skills in Adobe InDesign and working knowledge of other Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier). Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Copilot, Power BI). Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus. WordPress, web, interactive design, and/or video editing experience is a plus.
