Overview
Part‑time, 25‑hour Clinic/Practice Assistant position at our Urgent Care center in Boston Common (137 Stuart Street). Onsite work in Boston; on‑call shift per 4‑week period; overtime, weekend, holiday coverage.
Responsibilities
Greet patients, register, on‑demand scheduling.
Prepare reports, meeting minutes, correspondence.
Create and edit documents, spreadsheets, presentations.
Manage schedules, arrange appointments and itineraries.
Coordinate meetings, travel, conference calls, expense reports.
Answer and transfer phone calls.
Transcription, proofreading and editing literature, prepare departmental applications.
Maintain knowledge of business unit policies.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Trade/technical/vocational diploma related field preferred.
Experience:
2‑3 years Administrative Assistant or Secretarial Experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency with office procedures and equipment (filing, copying, scanning, printing, faxing).
Proficiency in MS Office.
Proofreading and editing written documents.
Use of phone system.
Time management.
Strong verbal & written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Use of standard office equipment.
Familiarity with medical terminology.
Additional Job Details Preferred experience working in a high‑volume physician practice, urgent care or emergency room.
