Senior Installation Specialist, ITs Technical Systems Operations

Job Summary Sr Specialist Installation is responsible for providing Tier 2 level support for end user requests related to desktop/laptop configurations, applications, email, internet access and peripherals. Additional responsibilities include leading installation teams for new enovated areas and assisting junior members of the team.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service and support to NMHS users of microcomputer hardware and software.
Advocate for end users when IT issues are outside of the scope of the Technical Systems Department.
Responsible for complex end user support and desktop PC maintenance, troubleshooting, updates and network connectivity.
Ensure enforcement of all ITS security policies and procedures.
Timely and accurately install microcomputer hardware systems and software including upgrades and enhancements.
Lead projects for new clinic installations, department moves and closing/openings, and equipment needs of new groups/physicians.
Evaluate needs of user departments and recommend hardware and software solutions.
Test new software programs for compatibility and updates prior to installation.
Conduct advanced problem‑solving research and serve as an escalation resource for junior members.
Work with InfoSec team to ensure new applications go through the security review process.
Plan, develop, and coordinate training programs/classes in the use of microcomputers and other peripherals.
Stay abreast of current advances/updates in technology.
Train junior members on NMHS methodology and latest technology.
Maintain database of system changes and revisions.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Computer Science.
High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience beyond the required number of years.
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
DL NUMBER – Driver License, Valid and in State Valid state issued driver’s license and good driving record.
Work Experience 4‑6 years Minimum of 5 years’ experience in configuring, troubleshooting, installing, and maintenance of software and computer systems.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Operational knowledge of microcomputers and related equipment.
Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and networking basics.
Working knowledge of mobile device support and maintenance.
Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Implements, configures, and troubleshoots the PC systems and software for NMHS.
Works independently with little direction.
Plans and organizes tasks.
Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Plans, develops, and coordinates training programs/classes in the use of microcomputers and other peripherals.
Maintains current knowledge of technological advances in the field.
Must have extensive contact with: Help Desk, Help Desk supervisor, Installation Specialist, Leadership, Management, external partners, and other IT Staff.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must reflect a positive, caring attitude toward clients, patients, staff and the public we serve.
