Job Overview The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for creating and managing an Inside Sales department for Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems. The Inside Sales team provides primary and secondary support for various functional areas within the Customer Service and Sales Support department (Technical Service, Customer Service, Value Add and Quotations). In addition, the department develops a working knowledge of the various aspects and secondary factors affecting customer service to support and proactively improve the department. As the principal point of contact between Territory Managers and the department, the Inside Sales team performs a vital function in the chain of customer satisfaction and service improvement. The Manager works with Sales Management to define roles and responsibilities, recruits, hires, trains and mentors Inside Sales Representatives, develops work instructions, implements cross‑training plans, and works with Technical Service Managers on product training programs.

A Day In The Life

Recruit, hire, train and mentor Inside Sales Representatives and candidates for the sales training program.

Work with Sales management to define the roles and responsibilities of the new Inside Sales department.

Work with Customer Service, Technical Service and Quotation management to ensure the Inside Sales department provides complimentary services to the Sales organization and avoids duplication of efforts.

In addition, ensure that the Inside Sales department procedures are consistent with those of the various departments they support.

Develop work instructions for the various Inside Sales responsibilities.

Develop and implement a cross‑training plan for the Inside Sales Representatives so they are well versed in Technical Support, Customer Service, Value Add and Quotations.

Work with the Technical Service Manager to develop and implement a product training program for the Customer Service and Quotations departments.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 5+ years of work experience in sales/customer-focused roles.

Outside sales experience a plus.

Customer Service experience preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external customers.

Demonstrated skills in people along with proven leadership and team development skills.

Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Positive “CAN DO” attitude.

Strong problem‑solving skills.

Ability to multi‑task.
