This role is central to building the narrative and visibility of Printemps New York through sharp, strategic PR initiatives and compelling storytelling. You’ll drive earned media strategies, secure high-impact coverage, manage top-tier press relationships, and develop messaging that aligns with the brand’s voice and values.

You will also lead celebrity engagement efforts, from identifying culturally relevant talent and brand ambassadors to managing relationships with stylists, agents, and publicists.

You’ll play a key role in executing buzz-worthy events and cultural activations overseeing everything from guest lists and press strategy to on-site execution and post-event coverage.

This is a high-touch, high-impact role ideal for a dynamic PR leader with deep industry relationships, a finger on the cultural pulse, and a proven ability to bring a luxury brand to life through media, talent, and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Media Relations & PR Strategy

Develop and execute PR strategies that align with our goals and retail initiatives.

Manage coordination with external communication agencies; oversee deliverables, budgets, and reporting.

Cultivate strong relationships with influencers, stylists, and cultural tastemakers across fashion, lifestyle, beauty, entertainment, and business media.

Pitch brand stories, seasonal campaigns, executive interviews, and product features to secure quality earned media.

Write press releases, media alerts, executive bios, pitch notes, and brand communications.

Monitor and analyze media trends to identify new opportunities and strengthen Printemps’ positioning.

Celebrity & Talent Engagement

Forecast, ideate, and support execution of celebrity and talent strategies.

Identify and engage A-list and culturally relevant talent for events, campaigns, and collaborations.

Manage relationships with agents, stylists, and publicists to facilitate celebrity placements and appearances.

Event Management

With the Event team leads planning and execution of press events, previews, influencer activations, pop-ups, and cultural moments.

Help with the event logistics including venue scouting, vendor coordination, guest list management, press strategy, and run‑of‑show oversight.

Support senior executives during high‑profile events, ensuring seamless press coverage and brand representation.

Content, Product & Asset Management

Maintain and organize the product sample closet for media and influencer requests.

Oversee product mailings and mailer strategy, from ideation to execution.

Manage publishing deadlines and creative briefs in collaboration with marketing and creative teams.

Update and manage the PR asset database with the latest visuals and messaging.

Internal Communications & Reporting

Develop an internal communications content / newsletter.

Collaborate with the team for press and marketing activations in the U.S. and abroad.

Compile and analyze weekly and monthly press reports, KPIs, and campaign recaps.

Partnerships & Paid Media Support

Assist in developing brand partnership proposals and activations.

Support marketing proposals, paid media strategy, and asset delivery tied to seasonal campaigns.

Manage PR and celebrity budgets, provide recommendations tied to business goals.

Education, experience, and skills needed:

5 years of proven experience in PR, with a strong focus on fashion, retail, lifestyle, luxury hospitality, or brand entertainment.

Proven track record of success developing and executing integrated PR campaigns that deliver measurable results.

Experience working in an agency environment is mandatory.

Strong NYC‑based media and influencer network is essential.

Deep knowledge of and relationships within relevant media landscapes, including fashion, luxury hospitality, and entertainment sectors.

Experience managing PR agencies.

Hands‑on experience with day‑to‑day PR operations, including event coordination.

Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including handling and maintaining event materials and assets as needed.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to craft compelling, tailored messaging across multiple channels.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events.

Proactive, resourceful, and highly organized, capable of managing large‑scale, complex projects with speed, precision, and adaptability.

Strong interpersonal, networking, and presentation skills, with creativity and the ability to generate new ideas.
