Program Assistant, Marcus Garvey I & II at Osborne Association.
Description Osborne Association serves individuals affected by the criminal justice system. Through programs, we offer opportunities to heal, repair harm, restore lives, and thrive. We challenge systems rooted in racism and retribution and fight for policies promoting safety, justice, and liberation.
Responsibilities
Greet residents and promote Osborne Association’s mission to diverse audiences.
Maintain office workflow through administrative systems, procedures, and policies.
Prepare meeting agendas and manage unit calendar for workshops, intake dates, and follow-up calls.
Assist staff in maintaining client folders and input program activities into online database.
Prepare reports, documents, and letters to support program activities.
Coordinate distribution of information, proposals, manuals, and other materials.
Manage inventory and order office supplies, equipment, and financials per internal procedures.
Monitor all tenants and guests entering and leaving the building.
Document all activities in communication logbook.
Intervene in crisis situations and provide appropriate support when necessary.
Collaborate with co-workers onsite.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience working in an institutional setting and/or providing reception or security services.
Certified CPR and First Aid a plus. Will be required to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification after employment.
Proven office management, administrative, or assistant experience.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
