Job Summary The
Project Manager
will serve as an Implementation Manager within the Protection New Business and Underwriting division. This role focuses on leading platform modernization, new system and API implementations, and operational process improvements across a dynamic, matrixed organization. The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of
underwriting platforms , strong cross-functional leadership, and experience driving end-to-end project success in a financial services environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple
implementation projects
from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.
Act as the
single point of contact
for stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
Plan and execute project strategies, coordinate workstreams, and manage dependencies.
Provide consultative guidance, ensuring smooth integration across systems and departments.
Communicate and collaborate with internal partners to maintain alignment and transparency.
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring successful outcomes.
Manage data vendor and source integrations.
Facilitate cross-department communication for efficient execution.
Support
code deployments
and testing of end-to-end connectivity.
Maintain thorough documentation for requirements, implementation plans, updates, and reporting.
Deliver
exceptional customer service
to internal stakeholders during implementations.
Promote team values of positivity, proactivity, collaboration, adaptability, and continuous growth.
Experience & Qualifications
Required Experience:
7+ years of experience in
project and/or program management , preferably in operations or core systems within a financial institution.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Experience with
underwriting systems
and related business processes.
Familiarity with
Life system terminology and acronyms .
Prior experience with API or policy implementation projects.
Skills
Project management expertise
with a track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Strong
organizational and communication
skills.
Proven leadership in cross-functional environments.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency with implementation management tools and methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
