Reporting to the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Server is responsible for offering individual warm and welcoming service by paying attention to the guests needs and looking for every opportunity to Wow and delight the guest with your knowledge and service levels. Serves meals for banquet functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
Serve all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings
Have full knowledge of beverage lists and all menu items being served
Follow outlet policies and procedures
Follow established service guidelines and practices for each individual event.
Demonstrate the expected standards of table service and wine/ beverage knowledge.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course with the needed Mise en place.
Maintain a positive service attitude at all times and be willing to help and advise guests with all questions and requests they may have
Available to work varied shifts based on business demands, including but not limited to, weekends and holidays
Complete other duties as assigned

Rate of Pay: $10.00 per hour plus tips
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Previous food and beverage experience required. Basic food and wine knowledge required
Previous banquet experience preferred
Minimum of one-year experience as a server in a fine dining restaurant is preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
High energy level; friendly; outgoing; team player, good salesmanship
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
ServSafe Food Handlers certification an asset
Physical Demands This position requires:
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Constant lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
Frequent kneeling, pushing and pulling up to 40 lbs
Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
