Department of Environmental Health Sciences Stempel College seeks energetic and visionary faculty in neurotoxicology/neuroscience with a focus in understanding the impact of environmental pollutants on brain health. Ideally, the selected candidate will have current funding and a track record of research and educational activities in Environmental Health Sciences. We are now accepting applications for a tenured or tenure-earning Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) within the College of Public Health. The EHS department houses one of FIU designated Emerging Preeminent Programs: Brain, Behavior, & the Environment (BBE). The department addresses health effects related to environmental toxicant exposures through research, education, and service to promote healthier lives.
Expectations And Responsibilities The hired faculty is expected to provide leadership support and advance the Department's research, academic, and service programs. The candidate is also expected to engage in extramurally funded research, teach and advise graduate students, and serve on dissertation committees. The successful applicant will have a record of scholarship and, based on academic rank, be a recognized leader in their field of research; their profile and research proposal must demonstrate an excellent fit with institutional strategic goals and the aims of the position.
