Summary The Control Testing Specialist is responsible for executing risk-based compliance tests in compliance with internal policies and procedures and with banking laws and regulations.
Education and Experience
Associates degree or a minimum of four years directly related experience required
Minimum three years experience in a compliance, audit, quality control or other risk management role with a focus on reviews, testing or general quality assurance tasks
Knowledge of Deposit regulations is required
Attention to detail, strong written communication skills for documenting findings and the ability to work independently and work teams is required
Proficient in Microsoft suite applications.
General understanding of Compliance, Risk or Audit testing.
Job Responsibilities
Executes risk-based compliance testing for key deposit and other regulations such as Regulation E (Electronic Funds Transfers), NCUA 707 Truth in Savings, Regulation CC, Regulation P, Garnishments, Abandoned Property, ADA, UDAAP, etc.
Performs detailed transactional testing of new accounts, member disclosures, statements, error resolution, checks, ACH files, advertisements, escheatment processes, etc.
Maintains current and accurate records for documentation of regulatory compliance.
Identifies control weaknesses and documents the underlining root cause as well as validation of corrective actions take by the business lines
Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor
