Join our first-class team to reinvent in-flight experience. In the role of Program Buyer you’ll play a pivotal part on our Product Support team.

Act as the supply chain program representative for HOV activities and change management by ensuring a smooth transition of products/parts between development and production phases, and coordinating any modifications required.

Coordinate procurement activities involved with procuring products. Support purchasing contract process, complex bill of material evolution, support complex value engineering projects, prepare bid requests, maintain ERP data necessary to enable purchase order placement.

Drive cost reduction initiatives by analyzing supplier quotes, negotiating pricing improvements, identifying alternative suppliers, consolidating spend where possible, and collaborating with engineering to reduce material costs through design-to-cost or value engineering.

Act as the liaison in a make-or-buy decisions at the site level by presenting supplier capabilities, internal manufacturing costs, risk assessments, and total cost of ownership to program managers and operations for final decision making.

Own and manage the material baseline specific by Program by ensuring alignment between sourcing strategy, contract coverage, and program requirements.

Track, analyze, and report cost on development programs and report relevant KPIs to management.

Support Programs and Sales to ensure business case targets are met by highlighting risks or variances and recommending sourcing strategies to close gaps.

Analyze any differences in the cost estimate of new products at different stages of development.

Interact and collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and resolve conflicts that may impact budget, on-time delivery or quality.

Act as the focal point to the sourcing team and/or commodity managers, ensuring supplier pricing is implemented in line with program needs.

Interface with internal customers to resolve problems and issues relating to purchase items; interface with external customers to address supply chain issues, with previous approval from manager.

Proactively identify areas of risk and develop mitigation plans as defined by the risk management process.

Implement Health, Safety and Environment standards, supporting compliance and ensuring safe execution of program activities.

Conduct cost analysis on parts not covered by contracts, recommend corrective actions (e.g., negotiations, sourcing alternatives), and support closure of cost exposure.

Collaborate with Program teams as required.

Job Requirements Job Summary : Reporting to the Program Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Program Buyer supports all assigned programs by tracking and managing costs, coordinating procurement activities and ensuring supply chain alignment development through production. The Cabin Program Buyer contributes to cost reduction, complex bill of material evolution, contract processes while serving as the main interface between programs, sourcing teams, suppliers and customers on supply chain/commercial issues.

Education : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field, or Bachelor degree in Supply Chain or Purchasing.

Experience : Minimum 2 years in Engineering Costing, Supply Chain, Program Management, or related field.

Computer Skills : MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); M3 or similar system experience required.

Other Skills : Fluent in English; ability to present data to management; ability to adapt to changing requirements; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to collaborate with team members; strong multitasking and attention to detail; excellent analytical and communications skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications/Skills : Not required but beneficial; Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
