Risk Manager, Rewards | Retail Bank Premium Products and Experiences As a Risk Manager at Capital One you’ll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Risk Managers at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable.

Risk Managers at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.

As a Risk Manager for the Premium Products and Experiences team, you will have an opportunity to support a fast growing business through the product development lifecycle from ideation to execution. Responsibilities:

Advise and consult with business teams and other key stakeholders to help develop well-designed products, processes, and supporting technologies and implement risk management practices; support our business partners to drive the risk/return trade-off decisions

Lead ad-hoc projects to improve processes or control environment to mitigate risks (e.g. execution errors)

Analyze data to proactively identify risks and trends

Stay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to the business areas that you support

Be a part of leading and delivering on our well-managed agenda

Participate in or lead risk forums and contribute to continuous improvement of risk management practices

Support, partner and interact with internal business clients

Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications:

At least 3 years of Financial Services Compliance experience, Risk Management experience or Card services experience

At least 2 years of Project Management experience

At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk

1+ years experience working in an Agile environment

Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management

PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)

At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position

McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Risk Manager

Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Risk Manager
