Risk Manager, Rewards | Retail Bank Premium Products and Experiences As a Risk Manager at Capital One you will be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Risk Managers are the front line of defense to ensure the Company remains stable and profitable. They are highly motivated professionals with strong organizational and communication skills, with exposure across lines of business and opportunities to work with Executives to create and implement solutions to identify and mitigate risks. As a Risk Manager for the Premium Products and Experiences team, you will support a fast growing business through the product development lifecycle from ideation to execution, collaborating to protect customers and the brand.

Responsibilities Advise and consult with business teams and other key stakeholders to develop well-designed products, processes, and supporting technologies, and implement risk management practices; support partners to drive the risk/return trade-off decisions

Lead ad-hoc projects to improve processes or control environment to mitigate risks (e.g., execution errors)

Analyze data to proactively identify risks and trends

Stay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to the supported business areas

Be part of and contribute to delivering a well-managed risk agenda

Participate in or lead risk forums and contribute to continuous improvement of risk management practices

Support and partner with internal business clients

Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications At least 3 years of Financial Services Compliance, Risk Management, or Card services experience

At least 2 years of Project Management experience

At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross-functional projects and programs in Risk

1+ years of experience working in an Agile environment

Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management

PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)

At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location and refer to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting; salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. Locations: McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700; Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location and the offer letter will reflect the actual salary. This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives. Capital One offers a comprehensive set of benefits.
