What this job involves As a Regional Engineering Manager at JLL, you will oversee all of the accounts in your region to ensure quality service delivery, elevate performance, minimize risk and respond to client needs while providing guidance to site level engineering teams for day-to-day property engineering, maintenance and repair delivery. This comprehensive regional engineering management role combines technical leadership with strategic operational oversight, requiring you to focus on the thorough and seamless transition of systems, equipment and engineering personnel while leading the resolution of specific system or operational problems, equipment research, technical training and team development regulatory compliance creation of innovative system operating strategies and life cycle asset management. You will play a crucial role in JLL's Engineering Services core competency by collecting, administering and advancing standard operating practices and procedures while staying abreast of technique and technology advancements through ongoing training and participation in numerous engineering organizations and managing our Engineering Services Compliance Program through audits to mitigate risks with ongoing compliance and performance measures against standard criteria for more than 300 line items including Emergency Procedures, Fire and Life Safety, Team Safety, Refrigerant Management, Energy Management, Environmental Hazards, Maintenance Inspections, Vertical Transportation and Indoor Air Quality.
What your day-to-day will look like
Oversee all accounts in your region ensuring quality service delivery while elevating performance and minimizing risk for clients
Provide guidance to site level engineering teams for day-to-day property engineering, maintenance and repair delivery
Lead ES On-boarding program helping new facilities and property management teams ensure smooth transition with no service disruption
Manage ES Operational Compliance Program ensuring compliance with codes, laws and regulations across regional portfolio
Evaluate, train and mentor site teams while establishing best practices and maintenance standards for continuous improvements
Assist in developing long-term capital plans and innovative system operating strategies leveraged across JLL managed portfolios
Provide assistance with troubleshooting, property condition assessments, and root cause analysis for operational excellence
Support new business initiatives and new property start-up/transition support while maintaining client-facing relationships.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field with professional engineering license preferred
7-10+ years of facilities engineering management experience with regional oversight responsibilities and team leadership
Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and vertical transportation systems
Experience with Engineering Services Compliance Program management and audit processes for risk mitigation
Understanding of codes, laws and regulations compliance with Emergency Procedures, Fire and Life Safety, Team Safety knowledge
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills with ability to evaluate, train and develop site engineering teams
Strong communication and client-facing capabilities with budget development support and hiring/staffing support experience
Knowledge of property engineering, maintenance and repair with systems, equipment and engineering personnel transition expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineering (PE) license with experience in commercial real estate facilities management and engineering services
Knowledge of Refrigerant Management, Energy Management, Environmental Hazards, Maintenance Inspections, and Indoor Air Quality
Understanding of technique and technology advancements with ongoing training and engineering organizations participation
Experience with standard operating practices and procedures collection, administration and advancement across regional portfolios
Background in long-term capital plans development and innovative system operating strategies creation for life cycle asset management
Knowledge of Next Generation Maintenance, troubleshooting assistance, and property condition assessments capabilities
Understanding of Emergency Response/Disaster Recovery Planning and Support with new technologies evaluation and guidance
Experience with new business support and client needs response while maintaining quality service delivery standards.
