We’re looking for a hands‑on

Plant Supervisor

to join our growing team in

Baltimore, Maryland . In this role, you’ll oversee daily plant operations, maintenance, and team leadership by being physically present on the floor and leading by example.

As Plant Supervisor, you’ll manage a diverse and talented operations team. Your main goal will be to organize staff effectively to ensure smooth, consistent workflow throughout the day. You’ll also coach, train, support, and, when necessary, discipline team members to maintain high performance and safety standards.

We’re seeking a confident, proactive leader who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment. You’ll need strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to motivate a team while keeping operations efficient and compliant.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, develop plant staff, while providing ongoing coaching and direction

Conduct quality checks on smart containers entering and exiting the facility

Deliver regular quality assurance training aligned with performance metrics

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational inefficiencies

Monitor plant equipment, making minor repairs where possible

Manage stock control, inventory, and ordering, providing analysis and feedback to leadership

Lead and support operational improvement initiatives (process flow mapping, time studies, risk assessments)

Ensure regulatory compliance, including ISO, OSHA, and AQIS standards

Oversee preventive maintenance programs at shift end

Drive effective communication across teams and departments

Allocate resources effectively (staffing, budget, scheduling)

Assist with annual performance reviews

Foster a productive, professional, and service‑focused team culture

Enforce workplace safety standards, including weekly health and safety training

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility

Qualifications

3+ years of plant, warehouse, or related leadership experience

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

Working knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations

Proven track record of process and productivity improvements

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and push/pull carts up to 300 lbs

Comfortable working in confined spaces and standing for long periods

Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible hours as needed

Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to recordkeeping and detail

Must successfully complete a medical exam (including drug screen), background check, and reference checks
