Responsibilities
Provide accurate legal guidance and recommendations on all matters affecting the company
Support the company through Trust & Safety incident responses
Maintain an in-depth understanding of education regulations and provide recommendations on necessary actions
Create, implement, and maintain compliance policies to mitigate regulatory risk
Negotiate, create, review, and execute agreements and contracts essential for business operations
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and Bar Admission in good standing
7+ years of legal experience in an edtech corporate environment
Executive presence with the ability to represent the company internally and externally
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in navigating litigation associated with general liability risk
Familiarity with Domestic and International privacy regulations, including GDPR
Proven track record of creating and implementing compliance policies in a corporate setting
