As Manager of Walk to End Alzheimer’s, you join an exclusive team of leaders responsible for the implementation of Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Walk to End Alzheimer’s® ranks as the second‑largest peer‑to‑peer fundraising event in the United States and has grown rapidly, earning recognition as the number two event in 2023 and the largest dollar growth of any program in the top 30.

Utilizing your proven networking and relationship‑building skills, you will cultivate key community connections, strategically identify and engage corporate and community leaders, and build and empower sustainable volunteer committees across Silicon Valley. As a fundraising leader, you will generate excitement in the community, coach volunteers to implement proven strategies, and achieve event growth year over year.

This Role Is Right For You

You have proven success at building sustainable corporate and community relationships that contribute to achieving event revenue goals, greater community participation, and heightened brand awareness.

You have worked with companies to expand existing initiatives and secured new five‑ to seven‑figure corporate sponsorships, teams, and volunteers, and have managed vendor and cause marketing activation campaigns.

You can generate a positive return on investment and increased fundraising revenue by renewing or growing larger accounts and multi‑year funding.

You have worked with the Senior Director to identify members for Executive Leadership Committees and Chair/Vice‑Chair positions.

You have recruited, managed, and coached volunteers to implement best practices to achieve fundraising goals, and can assimilate our custom training on peer‑to‑peer fundraising.

You have managed multiple volunteer‑led mass‑market events simultaneously that have resulted in revenue growth year over year.

You are a convener who has built a positive, healthy, and inclusive team environment that fosters long‑term community relationships.

You love a challenge and have achieved or surpassed designated revenue and participant goals through team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and community partnerships.

You have demonstrated success at prospecting, cultivating, and stewarding event teams, sponsors, and participants.

You have excellent communication and organization skills and are comfortable managing event budgets, training volunteers, setting timelines and milestones, and using data to achieve positive outcomes.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

3‑5 years of proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals, or 3‑5 years of successful experience meeting sales targets.

Confident, goal‑oriented, positive self‑starter, able to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with partners.

Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture corporate relationships and partnerships.

Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers at different levels of expertise with diplomacy.

Ability to work with diverse communities and demonstrate inclusion in a highly matrixed organization.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and follow‑through.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory by car; valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record, and proof of insurance.

Willingness to work some evenings and weekends for committee meetings, Walk, and wraparound events.

Ability to lift and transport up to 25 lbs. of materials.

Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and social media; experience with, or ability to rapidly learn, Luminate/Convio software.

Full‑time Exempt, based on 37.5 hours per week minimum Position Grade & Compensation:

Grade 405: $75,000‑$85,000 annual salary, with up to $13,000 performance incentive based on portfolio size and quarterly goals. Reports To:
